DeAnna Harris is an accomplished government affairs professional and Cobb County resident with more than a decade of experience advising organizations across transportation, small business, municipal government, education, technology, and law enforcement. She specializes in connecting industry leaders with policymakers, leveraging her political insight, strategic relationships, and cross-sector expertise to advance impactful initiatives at the local and regional levels.
Ms. Harris brings a unique ability to translate policy into practical solutions—helping organizations navigate government processes, secure resources, and build coalitions that strengthen communities and support economic growth. Her work is rooted in a deep understanding of Georgia’s political landscape and a commitment to aligning public- and private-sector stakeholders around shared goals. DeAnna has published several op-ed articles in major newspapers, including the Marietta Daily Journal and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Public Communications from Cleveland State University. She also earned a grant writing certificate from the University of Georgia, equipping her with additional expertise to support funding strategies for public and nonprofit partners.
A recognized leader in civic engagement and public policy, DeAnna has served on numerous boards and advisory groups, including Live Safe Resource Center, Habitat for Humanity Northwest, and Family Life Restoration Center. She remains actively engaged with key civic organizations, including Keep Cobb Beautiful, the Public Policy Leadership Institute Alumni Board, and the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce. Her participation in leadership programs—including the Cobb Chamber’s Honorary Commanders and Next Generation Mentoring—reflects her commitment to advancing Georgia’s leadership pipeline.
